How to tax my car online

Undoubtedly the most convenient way to tax your vehicle, the Government’s website is quick and easy to use.  To tax a vehicle online, simply visit https://vehicletax.service.gov.uk/.  You’ll be asked whether or not you have a V11 reminder form – if you answer yes, you’ll be asked to input the reference from this form; if not, you’ll be asked if you have (a) a last chance letter, (b) a V5C form or ( c) a V5C/2 (new keeper) form.  If you have none of these documents, you’ll need to click onto ‘I don’t have any of these documents’, whereby you’ll be directed to a page with options to proceed without these.

Once completed, you’ll receive an email confirmation of your registration / renewal.
